Selah means Pause and Reflect. We believe there is opportunity in the pause.
Our Purpose
Mission
We exist to serve women who have been trafficked. Through our confidential services, we offer a safe space for healing to begin while we compassionately reflect Jesus to all we encounter.
Vision
That our services will help each woman we serve to find the hope, support and tools needed to continue on the path of wholeness, healing and freedom by moving into a long-term program to continue the work we began.
Human Trafficking Emergency Stabilization
The goal of the emergency housing program is to work together with female survivors to:
- Ensure their immediate safety and security
- Provide tailored, individualized services including clothing, food, and housing
- Develop service plans with them to establish or rebuild their support networks and support their reintegration into the community
Survivors in the emergency housing program are offered many different forms of support during their up to 90-day stay, including:
- Basic medical/dental stabilization
- Psychological and therapeutic support
- Case management, individual and group support meetings
- Trafficking/domestic violence education
- Develop a support plan with the goal of finding a long term safe house for lasting help and healing
- Recreation activities and other opportunities for artistic expression
- Biblical spiritual support

Faith
Behold I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. - Isaiah 43:19
Selah will offer a short term “Stabilization Center” for trafficked women and will stand in the gap with services until a long term placement and treatment program is secured.
Selah will partner with other organizations and area schools to raise awareness and offer resources to those at risk for trafficking. Through our center, services, staff & volunteers we will offer an opportunity for people to see Jesus reflected and be restored into right relationship with their Creator.
Because sex trafficking is a crisis in our community, state, and country, we want to stand in the gap with our services to offer women hope for their future. Your gift of support makes our work possible.

About Us
Selah Life Choices is a new nonprofit in East Texas which exists to serve women being trafficked or at risk for human trafficking through our confidential services. We will offer a safe space for healing to begin while we compassionately reflect Jesus to all we encounter. Selah will serve as a ‘Stabilization Center’ for the first 90 days after rescue and our services will help each woman to find the hope, support and tools needed to continue on the path of wholeness, healing and freedom. Selah will have an LPC on staff to help provide mental health support and trauma therapy as well as housing for up to 90 days. We will offer basic necessities including food, clothing, activities, counseling and more. Selah will help women with the next steps of their recovery, while securing longer term housing and support for them at another established facility. Through area partnerships and referrals we will also offer tangible help including medical and dental care and other services as needed.
